I actually see snow in one of your Winston Peak pics. I was getting really jealous there for a moment in looking at all these Dec 30th pics and not seeing any snow (like we have up here -brrr) I'm looking forward to seeing some sun one of these days.

I guess the grass always looks greener on the other side doesn't it? Certainly, everybody in Southern Cal. is waiting for it to dump sustained. But yes, the north facing slopes in the San Gabriel high country had decent coverage last weekend. The hard patches on Winston Ridge actually prevented me from going further past Winston Pk without crampons.
