That's our winter 2007 until now! Normally these flowers (helloborus niger, in German "snowrose") are covered with thick snow in January.

not a snowrose

according to MRH's comments in the rhododendrons album (snowrose is the non-scientific name for mountain rhododendrons), this plant can't be called "snowrose". It looks rather like a pasqueflower (you should attach it to pasqueflowers album). Your photo is very nice,
