parking is very limited which is probably a good thing, or the whole area would be overrun by snowmobiles

I didn't know this road was plowed this high in winter time!? So much cool stuff to go and see in winter up there!

Thank the DoD

The road is plowed by the HAFB for their Thurston Peak radars, but there is no parking higher up the road so they don't let the civilians drive any further.
