Within sight of the summit
Still some 15-20 minutes to go, though, as the path winds to the right and around the summit cone. Ant the weather was not getting any better... August 2010

We both thought that Griou was a really elegant summit and enjoyed the climb from Font de Cère. Peyre Arse was also beautiful but the menacing weather did not allow us to make the most of it, we had to hurry up and down so as not to get caught by the rain. But you can see that in the pictures... ;)

Pity you didn't enjoy it as it should have been. That's a great viewpoint. Do you plan to return ?

Well, you never know that, but we have discovered that the Cantal area is placed about halfway between the Alps and our hometown. That makes it an ideal stopover when going home, and there are still some appealing summits over there that we haven't climbed... :))
