Wolf Ridge Trail near Parson Bald

The Wolf Ridge Trail is not used very often as a summit approach for the bald. We used it for our descent from the bald as part of a loop using Twentymile Trail, the AT and the Gregory Bald Trail. Between Sheep Pen Gap and Parson Bald the trail was very narrow and overgrown in spots, but was never overly difficult to follow. If you are looking for Smoky Mountain solitude, you will most likely find it on this approach to the bald, as well as on most of the loop we completed. Wolf Ridge Trail GSMNP June 5, 2015
