Yeah, it's a self-serving summit pose, but I was so happy to finally get this one done. Last year, two days before I was to climb this I rolled my ankle and ended up in a cast. Was glad to complete this peak this time.

Re: Nice job!

Yeah we had a stellar day. Too bad you didn't get to do the last little bit when you were there a few weeks back. It's a much easier scramble that I thought it would be. Not in ice though..................

Re: Nice job!

Good summit view. It looks as if you have some tricams. Did you use them on your ascent/descent?

Re: Nice job!

No, it was a total day trip for my rock pro. I slung a horn for an anchor at the bottom and tried to place a nut but the rock kept moving. I ended up just climbing the 15 or so feet and slung the summit horn. Again though, this is totally third class to the summit if you go the right way (we did not).

Re: Your best summit shot yet.........

Ha ha. Was a great climb, eh?

(FYI, I have been trying to email you other photos from the climb but your email keeps saying the address is not valid. Do you have another one I can send them to. If so, email me and let me know.)

good stuff

so Brian,

is N. Sister the only of the major OR Cascade volcanos left for you?

Nice shot BTW.

...does sound pretty good for Sept.....now just have to talk Shirley into some solid N. Sister rock :)

Re: good stuff

Yep, North Sister would be the only remaining OR one for me to summit. Ironic, eh, as it is my mountain page? I really need to get up that one. It looks like I'll be going one of the last two weekends in September to give it a shot. Hope you both can go. I wouldn't mind belaying that loose traverse but we can probably just scramble it.

Re: good stuff

THanks Brian.

yeah, keep us in the loop if you can on this trip. have some ideas for early Sept. but nothing really concrete for later in the month. if that crap is loose and exposed you get no arguments against belaying it from us :)
