Calycoseris parryi photographed in S Cove Wash near a large natural arch. Lake Mead Area, Nevada. Yellow tackstem belongs to Asteraceae (Sunflower)family. It can be found in desert flats and slopes in creosote bush scrub and joshua tree woodland. It blooms from March to May. In Lake Mead Area you will also find its white flowered relative.
