Tip of the Iceberg

as huge as this is, this is actually only about the top 1/3 of Yerupaja's SE Face

EAST Face

Strictly speaking, this is the EAST Face, viewed considerably from the South

Re: EAST Face

That is correct, the true east face. Many photos on the net purporting to be the east face are in fact the NE face.

On this east face, there is a line to the sub-peak on the far left, and the skyline ridge on the far right has been climbed, but there has not been an ascent of the east face itself ;-)

Do I see fluting?

Are are those just lapidary cornices crowning the face? How could a person trust such snow for a direct ascent? Excellent foot, 10/10
