Yet another view of the massive pyramid of the Matterhorn from Plateau Rosa. IMO this side is slightly better than the South face but definitely less impressive than the East face or the North-East side (the "postcard view" from Zermatt).

Great angle

I don't think I've ever seen this viewpoint before. This is a great shot and I think it is impressive as it shows how rugged and steep the Matterhorn is.

The Matterhorn looks pretty solid from this distance, I thought it would be a rather pleasant climb. It turned out to be quite a rotten piece of loose rock. Still, it was fun!
