This summer (2009) I hiked to Ypsilon Lake from the Lawn Lake Trailhead. It started out as a beautiful day but the clouds rolled in over the top of the Mummy Range right as I reached the Lake. I did run into very large anf friendly marmots at the Lake. The hike is 4.5 mile one way and gains 2,180 vertical feet.
