| Finished up the CCY trek by reaching Ypsilon's summit at 10:20am Dark clouds started forming at 11:00 and we hoofed it back down. We got pelted by a rain/sleet storm by the time we got back to the Chiquita-Chapin ridge which was actually kind of fun. Overall a great outing! | |

| Passed the two parties that were ahead of us, and had the summit to ourselves for a minute or two, until a helmeted climber reached the top from a ridge climb. His route made my hike seem like child's play. Summit was excellent for views, but got crowded very quickly at an early hour. | |

| Finally! After years of trying to get back here and do it. I was on top by 8:00am and hiked straight through a herd of Elk! The one young Stag of the herd came to within 15 feet of me!! It was unbelievable. A moment I will not forget. | |
