Zaplata

The so characteristic southern slopes of Zaplata, Storzic group. Here it is seen from the panoramic balcony ridge of St. Jakob. These slopes are rarely done as a ski tour, even if they are so tempting, because thousands of us watch them every day from Gorenjska plane. The ski tour would probably be best done by the left edge of the broad grassy slope. But on the whole slope there's a big danger of avalanches and also snow is rarely good for skiing.
