Barracuda..

Barracuda..

"So, this ain't the end - I saw you again ... today .. Had to turn my heart away. You smiled like the Sun - kisses for everyone .. Entails - it never fails! You lying so low in the weeds; Bet you gonna ambush me .. You'd have me down ... down ... down ... on my knees .. Now wouldn't ya, BARRACUDA ..." Climbers call it Accropolis. Hikers call it "The Sail." Locals (of Sedona) call it the "Ramparts of Wilson." Larry calls it "the Barracuda who stole my heart after a late winter storm." March 19, 2012

Re: Beautiful picture,

North central Arizona ... a place called Sedona
where some of the New Age folk gather to soak
up the 343 days of sunshine every year ...

after a snowfall, the colours in the rocks
really boggle the mind and caress the soul ...

Re: Stunning!

It really stands out on the outskirts of
Sedona, and could also (probably) RAISE a few
SKIRTS ...!

Climbers call it "Accropolis," which is
okay by me, because whenever I view it all
my THOUGHTS turn to GREEK.

Well Captured...

Excellent capture Larry...beautiful sight to say the least. All it is missing is 8 feet of snow on the ground and a big old fish somewhere in the shot. Thanks for posting this one....well worthy of POTD my brother of the south.

Re: Well Captured...

Yeah ... it could use a big waterfall with
rime ice like what they have in Yosemite.

Oh well, the grass is always greener and
more abundant on the opposite side of the fence.

Gracias, Bros. of the North!

Re:

It's just a point and shoot ... all I did was
pointed and shot ..

My Mom always told me it was rude to point,
but I turned out to be a very BAD Buzzard.

Well, it's not easy to hide ... HVALA ...

I have some more shots in the batter's cage,
but I'm waiting for my SD card to cool down.

Re: Wonderful

Grazie, Silvia! Ha una forma molto particolare!

"Shapes ... of things before my eyes,
Just teach me to despise ...
Will time make men more wise ...?"

Re: point and shoot and poem

Well, let me see if I can say "thank you" in
Czech --- Děkuji.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures.
Mine are ALL point and shoot but poetry is
the greatest divine gift I was lucky to receive.

It helps me to see the big picture.

October is a great time to visit Sedona.

Summer's too short, but I'll try.
