While climbing Angels Landing we ran into what the locals call "lucky Condor #6". California Condors are the largest flying land birds in the Western Hemisphere. Zion National Park September 2010

I agree. Just as I was making my way out to the steep 1/2 mile of Angels Landing I heard a huge whoosh of air and saw this guy land above my head. I backtracked a bit and whipped out the telephoto lens. Just as I went to take the shot I saw that damn number and knew the picture was ruined. California Condors are an endangerd species and just like the wildlife in Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons, they are all tagged and collered. Happy Trails out there

That bird looks like it's taking a well-deserved break from running in a
marathon race.

I wonder if those numbers are biodegradable.

Supposedly they fly 15,000 miles a year. As for biodegradable numbers.....I wish. Happy Trails Larry
