A view of the road (pic 9)

This shot gives an idea of the soil surface of the road. If that stuff gets wet, you will not have traction since it was a clay like material. We were ready to turn tail and run at the sign of any actual rain. The ranger at Natural Bridges National Monument had warned us not to be up here if it started raining. 7-29-10
