A view up the lower half of...

A view up the lower half of the Hidden Couloir from the snowslope below Aasgard Pass on April 26, 2003. The top of the Hidden Couloir can just be seen above. It is not necessary to go all the way to the top though, as the ice runnels junction off about three-quarters of the way up. I find it cool the way the snow fan piles up at the base of the couloir much the way sand does below a seaside escarpment.
