Re: HungryHard to say for sure from the photo, at least to me. Doesn't look like a Turkey Vulture, but could be a Black Vulture.

Re: HungryI seem to recall them having pink heads so I think they were turkey vultures but I could be wrong. I was definitely not in my usual mountains at the time so I'm not sure what kind of vultures there are in TX.

Re: HungryI couldn't tell from the photo if they had pink heads. If so then they are probably turkey vultures. Since they are carrion eaters not having feathers on their heads allows them to feast deep into something without getting feathers caked with gore!
