Actually, I'm surprised by how few trout fisherman I have seen in the Smokies - as compared to the die hards out west.

Nice place.

For some reason, I've never been swimming there. I need to do that. It's the largest pool of water in the GSMNP.

Like most swimmming holes in the Smokies I bet the water is VERY cold. I never thought about swimming there! I'll wait for a very hot August day for that.

Yeah, the water's cold everywhere in the GSMNP. My favorite swimming hole is Midnight Hole. Cold? Yep, even on a hot August day.
