Ah, the summit

Mike tops out on the summit of Desert Peak and that is always a great feeling. That means we have half the peak done, since you always have to go back down. We spent a good half hour up there and could have easily stayed there longer. Mike had cell phone coverage with his Verizon phone and my AT&T cell wouldn't work. In fact, Mike had cell coverage even at the trailhead, a fact that simply amazed me. 8-18-09
