Nice climb on good rock. Especially the last pitches offer very good climbing.
For descent 2x25m in principle are sufficient, but 2x35m help to traverse towards the trailhead. Way down leaves the lower couloir to the right (in sense of the descent, cairns) and thereby avoids rockfall passages. From the tracks, most of the climbers follow the scree couloir...

South Ridge "Classique"
Arrived to find the Orny Hut completely booked, but the guardian was kind enough to find places for us. Started early and finished the route in time for lunch. Fun climbing and very well protected on the hard sections.

climbed the gendarmeIt was a semi bolted route on the gendarme, max. 5b, 8 pitches? I don't remember the name. Quite a nice climb, good rock quality.
