Re: SpectacularHopefully we were not in those walls Tim. We wanted to reach the Gîte a Balmat (2530 m), a granite block under which Jacques Balmat and Dr. Paccard set up their bivouac on the first ever ascent of Mont Blanc in 1786. It was rainy almost all the time and we turned back into the fog just below Bec du Corbeau (2221 m).

Awesome......photograph! The enlarged version of this image is highlights the contrast between the lighting of the rock and the face in shadows. Very good work!
