This is the fallen airway beacon that you'll pass on the route from Big Mountain Pass to Bald Mountain. From here, you can also hike to Peak 7,824 which is located along the ridge above.

Stylish junk.

The beacon is in it's matching "fall" colors as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Noondueler! The funny thing is that this beacon is labeled on the map so it must have been here for a while. It has rusted quite a bit.

Peak 7824

I used this as the key to finding my way to this little prominence peak but it was a rather brushy affair to do so.

Thanks Dean. The peak doesn't have a name but the airway beacon route seemed to be the best way to hike to it.
