getting mugged

urban area peaks frequently are haunts for muggers... do you known anything about this? i have heard report of muggings on ajusco previously.

The day after I hiked the Ajusco, I met a Mexican guy at the Nevado de Toluca. He asked me if anything peculiar had happened to me? Turns out that he got robbed by four guys, armed, on the Ajusco. They didnt hurt him and apparently police went after them once he reported the mugging when he got down.
I hiked the Ajusco on a Saturday early July, there were another fifteen people up there that day, so maybe it's best to go up during the weekend...??
