Al, Mark and Rob on the Zumsteinspitze (4563m)

... with the rocky summits of the Dufourspitze (4634m) and Nordend (4609m) in the background. Originally, we planned to climb both of them today, but after Dufourspitze, we decided to skip Nordend, realizing we would be pressed for time if we wouldn't: We still had a long descent ahead of us, first to get back down to the Zumsteinspitze, and from there all the way down to Punta Indren (±3250m), where we wanted to catch the cable car down to the valley. Nordend has to wait for another year. 7 July 2013.
