Re: compliments

Thanks very much. It's true I did work at these, and I appreciate the recognition. My 35 pound pack included more than 4 pounds of camera gear, and a lot of time was spent scouting out the best compositions and then waiting for good light. Then, of course, I just got lucky with the weather on occasion.

I recently read a book titled The Tao of Photography: Seeing Beyond Seeing by Philippe L. Gross. Recommeded, for the photos if nothing else. It helped me keep my eyes open for compositions I might otherwise have missed. Regards, Nelson

Re: compliments

You are totaly right. My best photo's are when I was sitting on a nice place, just looking around and after half an hour I take my camara and start shooting. I think thats why I have so much pictures of insects, just sit wait and watch. Thanks for the tip of the book, I'm sure I'm gonna read it.

Re: Really nice.........

Thanks Bill. You were right: the place is amazing! We definitely want to return next year, and spend more than 5 days in the backcountry.

Pronouncing "Popo Agie..."

I used to live in Lander, and rightly or wrongly we always pronounced it as one word, "Popozia," with the accent on the second "o."

Re: Pronouncing

That's how I was told to pronouce it as well. I might have spelled it "popozha", but same idea.

Of course, one can guess what I was saying before learning this! Thanks for the info.
