Re: Ahhhhh - blue skies, dry rock!It was pretty funny driving there. We went through a freakin blizzard at Snoqualmie Pass with 12 foot drifts on the side of the road. When we got to Vantage, it was dry as a bone, 45 and sunny. It felt like it was in the sixties during the day with the sun beating down on us. Got in lots of good pitches, though I felt pretty weak from my 2 and half months of slacking. :-)
How was Smith?

Re: Ahhhhh - blue skies, dry rock!Glad to hear the weather and climbing worked out well for you! I hear you about those breaks from climbing (feel the same way). But now that you've shaken off the cobwebs, I'm sure you're back to normal climbing level :)
We went early to Smith on Sunday with Misha, Etsuko, and Haydar with intention of climbing Monkey. Weather (though there was a dusting of snow on the ground) was very good - sunny and clear (40's in the open). Etsuko started to feel too sick to climb though on the approach. Next time (esp. since these guys got pretty excited having seen the pillar :)
Went for some food and beer in Sisters.
See you at the event tonight.
