Metal flag on top of
Aljazev Stolp pillar shows the year it was build on the top of
Slovenian highest mountain
Triglav (2864m). It was erected by
Jakob Aljaz, a priest from
Dovje village in
Sava river valley, who was provoked by the forceful ‘germanization’ of Triglav and Slovenian part of Julian Alps. Today it is protected national historical monument.
In the clouds behind is
Skrlatica (2740m) and its
group.
