Fantastic shot

This is great Mathias. Even in the darker areas the textures are exquisite. The alpenglo is terrific also. And the 3-dimensional effect is quite amazing. I love this one!!

It is also one of my favorite photos. I had great luck that this unknown lonely climber walked there away from the normal track - and that the morning was a little hazy, so that the contrast between sun and shadow was not as big as normal. I didn't use a filter and also no colour corrections by software.

slide film?

I notice that most of the best photos here are from slides. I like to think using slide film would make my photos better. :) Ahh, the power of rationalization.
