Re: Super capture!Thank you very much. I was afraid my close ups will come up blurry because my hands were shaking a bit (from excitement) so I climbed up towards her and placed the camera against the rock to make it more steady. Cheers.

Re: SereneThank you Sarah and well said. This is exactly how she was. We saw some rams earlier in a day but they were on the move and in a big hurry. In springtime it is the other way around. Rams are relaxing and sitting around and females are very skittish because they have little lambs with them. Anya

Re: This is ...Thank you Marc. I'm glad she received some attention because more often people tend to vote more for male sheep because their horns are much bigger and impressive. Yet, the ewes are so sweet and gentle. It is harder to show that feature through the pictures though. Cheers.

Anya ...I've been around (on SP) for over two years,
and I've always speculated (in the back of
my mind) how you're able to get so close to
these wild creatures.
Do you emit any kind of call or whistle, or
are you randomly in the right place as the
animal is turning its head in your direction?

Re: Anya ...Thanks Larry. It is actually the other way around. I try not too make too much noise. I usually can scramble through the rocks very quietly unless of course I have to jump. In this case I just talked to her nicely and she looked. Initially she was looking in the other direction making sure nobody else was coming from there. They don't like to feel surrounded. Cheers.
