Ampferkogel (3186m) north ridge

Seen from the WSW, from the trail junction of the (old) normal route to the Hohe Geige and the Rüsselsheimerweg, 15 minutes east of the Rüsselsheimer Hütte. It doesn't look easy, but according to the AV Führer Ötztaler Alpen, the north ridge, which is on the left, is only UIAA grade I. However, this photo may be misleading, as the topmost bit of the north ridge is not visible. It's blocked from view behind the steeper west ridge (UIAA grade III). 28 June 2012.
