An electricity tower on the western slopes of Punta Clogstafel

It's a clear reminder that there are artificial lakes around, to generate hydroelectric power. The photo isn't quite sharp enough, but there are cables too. The hiking trail between Lago Vannino (2177m) and Lago Busin Inferiore (2388m) crosses a saddle at around 2500m. East of this saddle is a small, unnamed hill, with another, somewhat higher saddle further east. For the route from Lago Vannino to Punta Clogstafel, this higher saddle is the one to aim for. And the power lines are quite useful in that regard, as they also go over that higher saddle. 28 June 2013.
