great photoI've tried to cimb that volcano 4 times, and it's always impossible arrive to the top for my friend and me, because of the weather, the guidance guy, extremly low temperatures, but I'll try again
Is easy to get lost hiking to the top?
last time I was there was almost impossible to see more than your feets.
bye

Re: great photoHi! When we got there was very windy but we decide to climb in that day and was the best choice cause the next day was impossible to do it. Perhaps the weather is bad most of the time there. We had fog and didnt saw almost anything but we still climb it placing some colored band on the rocks for not getting lost at the return. Yes it is easy to get lost, now I remember at least one place where you can get lost so easy. It is not so hard, you need to scramb a lot till the top. Check my TR:

Good luck next time, it is a nice mountain.
Cheers, Andreea

Re: great photoThanks for the advice I love volcanos.
I would like to ask you for something... you see, I'm not a native english speaker, and I've tried to find out what "scramb" means? is it to ascent using both of your feets and hands to do it? is neccesary to know or have special climbing devices for hiking Chiles?
by the way, I read your TR, very usefull, & I also was on that glacier, i think that was the highest point we reached. scree field was near to there wasn't it?
thank you and bye
