Approaching the summit ridge. After contouring a bit more from this spot it is basically a straight up climb to the summit ridge at left. If you follow the trail all the way to the little black speck at this elevation ( the prospect) you have gone too far and are in for an even tougher climb to the ridge. July 24, 2004.
