Re: are all equal in the world.Thank you Roberto.
I remember him threatening me that he is going to die on these hikes, and that I would cry at his funeral. He was not very happy in that time, but now he likes hiking again.

Same here for me!We hear it in the car and on hikes in Scouts, even from kids who say they want to hike. I've heard it so many times over the years; kind of expect it now and your son's threat is really funny - "Cry at his funeral!"
My own son did it as a young Scout when the first part of a weekend hike required a steep climb uphill with backpacks. He was definitely not happy and worst of all, he ended up at the end of the group. He had also skipped breakfast; there were tears shed; and things went downhill before eventually going uphill that AM. He lived through it and I gained a few gray hairs!

Re: Same here for me!Thank you so much. I thought for a while that he will never hike with me, but now I have a hard time keeping up with him.

Re: Same here for me!Life is how it goes ..
Full of laughter, full of woes.
If I knew my hand of fate,
At St. Peter's gate I would never wait.
I am mortal, I make mistakes!
I am human, for goodness sakes ...
Turn up the bird's song, I'm headed home;
Please celebrate my return to Thunder Dome.
