Finally......found enough time to read your page properly. Excellent work it is too. The Southern Uplands are one of those places I never really think of going... but this page could persuade me, looks like a very pretty place indeed.

Re: Finally...Thank you for the comments. I was attracted to the Moffat Hills when I stayed in Moffat regular at work. The area is wonderful and remote and deserves visits over and over again.
The Southern Uplands, from the Galloway Merrick, The Moffat Hills and the Cheviots are all worth a visit.
If you get up there I hope you enjoy it.

Re: Finally...Just noticed something - your mountains should be attached as children, not related objects. It would make them much more visible too.

Re: Finally...Hi there Dan,
Changed them from related to children. Cheers again for such valuable advice...

Excellent!Excellent British work. Instantly draws your attention to - hope you don't mind this word here; the way I use it is actually supposed to be a compliment:) - the obscure Moffat Hills.

6 Months:Hi there,
It took me over 6 months of reserach and years of visiting this wonderful Obscure area to write it up in word.doc first and then copy and paste it into the page.
Im glad it worked and I am glad people like it.
Hopefully it will draw people to this wonderful part of Scotland.
Cheers,
David.

Re: 6 Months:The Britain's asset I miss so much is your work ethics, David. I also think you can recognise beauty where others just walk past seing next to nothing.

Superb PageThat's a cracking page David, definitely your best so far. Haven't real been here, although have passed through, as you mentioned most people do. Something I'll need to NOT do the next time..!
Cheers,
Stephen
Oh, small note. Couldn't get the wild camping link to work.

Cheers:Cheers there Stephen,
Maybe next time we plan to meet up on the hills we could do a complete traverse of these fine hills instead of the Highlands...?
Next time dont pass there... Go there... LOL
Take it easy mate,
David.

Re: I revise my commentCreating that sense of homesick and jealous is good in a way. The reason for this is that it also shows what you are missing and also shows how much you must of enjoyed the area.
Thank you for the nice comments,
Look after yourself.
David.

Excellent SiteDavyboy,
This is a great site - very comprehensive and attractive. As a fairly new Member of both Summit Post and the Moffat Mountain Rescue Team you have provided a fine tribute to our local hills and hopefully one which will attract more visitors. There are many grand days out to be had here. Thanks for this fine work.
Kindest Regards
Namara

Re: Excellent SiteThank you very much for the kind words. I am so glad you like it and being associated with the Moffat Hills is even better.
If your group has a web site dedicated to the mountain rescue can you send me it in PM and I will add it in the useful links sections.
I return to these fine hills every year and have never got fed up with them. Also if you have any fine photos I can add to my page put them in your profile and they will be added on the page.
Cheers - David.
