Climb?

Did you climb Fairweather on this trip last May? Quite an accomplishment for a 60 year old.

I've always been interested in this mountain.

Re: Climb?

Yes, five Canadians and I (from Wisconsin) climbed Mt. Fairweather last May, reaching the summit in the afternoon of May 13. I was the second oldest of the group to summit; one of the others, Manfred, was 62 at the time, I believe.

Re: Climb?

Not at all technical apart from roping up for glacier travel. There were a few crevasses which were easily crossed at narrow places or avoided. We climbed from the north.

How technical does this climb get? What route did you do?
