Badger Mountain

Badger Mountain

Piles of gravel like this disappeared into the buckets and wheelbarrows of the trail builders. Without the gravel, the newly created trails would have not withstood the erosional aspects of weather and use. In order to save the unique ecosystem found on Badger Mountain, it was important for folks to stay on the trails and not create their own by wandering wherever they wanted. Much of the damaged parts of the hillsides are now coming back.
