Failed attempt on Barad-Dur (III 5.9 A2 or 5.11 ?) on Wolf's east face. This is pitch 2 which had a small stream running down the structural moss. Bailed (June 11, 2006).

off route

this climber is off route. we did the same thing during our first attempt, found some old bolts out there and got into a heap of trouble. ended up two pitches off route in Pooh (poo) corner, run out on unstable terrain. the actual route goes up next to a small, right facing corner with a bunch of moss on it, just out of sight from the p1 anchors.

funny timing Cam - finally did Barad Dur 2 days & now I see this message on a photo of our old attempt from '06. you're right of course - I was headed for the wrong corner here in this pic. cheers.
