Bard-Harrington Wall

Bard-Harrington Wall

9-December-2006: Bard-Harrington Wall - good ice from about center to left. Note climbers in upper left. We climbed about 60m up in the center near the end of the day and then rapped off a v-thread. Good solid ice.

Sweet!

B-H is filling in! Nice work -- I knew an ice-junkie like you couldn't stay away. ;^) How did the rest of the canyon look??

Re: Sweet!

Thanks Carolyn - the Main Wall didn't look to be in yet. Chouinard had a couple of good lines in the center. There was some fun practice to be had for thin ice / delicate tapping / hooking technique near the Tree Route. The approach sucked, though. I had never seen it so bare of snow before.
