Bartuy Glacier and Laboda Massif, Digoria

View West from Tsikhvarga Pass. A dramatic icefall of Kainvtsek Branch of Bartuy Glacier comes from the left. In the center of the photograph, a small sunlit icefield clings to the slope of South Bartuy Pass. On the older maps, this little glacier and its neighbors feed into main Bartuy Glacier, but in reality they have separated, and they are shrinking fast. On the skyline, the Tsiteli-Tana-Laboda group touches the clouds. September 1985
