Tsikhvarga Peak (4140 m)

Tsikhvarga Peak (4140 m)

View from the West, from Central Bartuy Pass in the Main Crest of the Caucasus. Tsikhvarga has an interesting distiction of having two conflicting FA claims by the famed XIX century explorers. Both Cockin and Holder and Vittorio Sella climbed it in 1890. August 1985. We went to the low saddle of Bartuy to hide a food cache for the 2nd part of our trip; a week later, we descended from Tsikhvarga Pass (the prominent saddle to the left of the peak) to retrieve it.
