On my way from Bogatin hut and over Peski I climbed Batognica, but did not see anything, fog was milky and dense. In summer 2009 I went again, had more luck with the weather and saw what I did not see the last time, terrible devastation left from WW1, when they put 4000 litres of liquid explosive in the hole on the top and blew it up.Batognica is now lower than Nature intended.I descended on the saddle roundabout way, following some military remains, steep stairways and such.Next stop was Krn, and down to the Lake.Impressive
The history and remnants are amazing, but the views are not bad either. To think of so many fighting it out atop here for so many months and then have it peter out in 1-2 days.

Over Krncica
First time I reached the summit in summer 1973. We were returning from Krn and over Batognica back to Lepoce. In that time we found on the slopes east of Bagotnica many remains from the World War I.
The last time was a nice hike on Krn over Krncica ridge. When reaching Krnska skrbina, we ascended additionally also Batognica.
