Trailhead for the Bear Creek Trail off SR39 in the San Gabriel Mountains. This trail leads to Smith Saddle and further down into the San Gabriel Wilderness and Bear Canyon. From the saddle you can ascebd Smith Mountain via its steep north ridge. May 2011
