Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare)is a perennial herb native to Eurasia. It has finely divided compound leaves and yellow, buttonlike flowers. It belongs to the family Asteraceae and it is abundent in all of Polish mountains.Other names of this plant include: golden buttons and bitter buttons.Its scent is similar to that of camphor. Tansy should be used with caution. If consumed in large amounts it may be poisonous.
