There is a great predator inside Itatiaia NP, in danger of extinction but there is quite a few there, never saw one since they move at night time and there is no permission to walk around the park after 18:00h.
The predator is The Maned Wolf (english), or in portuguese, Lobo Guará. Big canine and gorgeous high wolf with huge legs!

I am dying to photograph one in nature, but that is not easy hehehe...
All we can do is to see signs of its presence, such as leftovers of its preys.
This wolf is very enigmatic here in Brazil.
Some day I will see one outside the zoo!
