Bloodtwig Dogwood shrub (Cornus sanguinea) is also often called "Winter Beauty". It can grow from 2 to 5 meters in height. It is very common in the Low Beskid. Its fruit is not showy, but is attractive to birds. In autumn and winter its branches and leaves have a pretty blood-red to greenish purple color. The Low Beskid - Mount Graniczna - August 28, 2007.
