Fine late October drive
After visiting Gettysburg, Pa. for the fourth time, I decided to drive the parkway while headed to Florida to visit family. Started at the very beginning of Shenandoah and drove the entire length to Asheville, N.C. The air was crisp and clear that day, and I only saw a few cars the whole way. What a memorable journey that was.
Popular as this road may be it is still one of the most beautiful stretches of highway in America. We had the luck to have 50+ miles to ourselves one fall weekday in North Carolina; I will never forget that beautiful ride.
