A more extensive area than the Needles of the Black Hills but resembling them in having independent pinnacles interspersed with pines woods. To top it off the main summit resembles that Black Hills pièce de résistance: The Devil's Tower.
Thanks Mark for visiting! Devils Tower is known world wide, especially since Close Encounters of Third Kind. I hope that one day I won't start making Bojin Kuk in mashed potatoes :-) Rujno plateau would be great for those ships to land. It could accommodate their whole fleet. There are other needles around Devils Tower? It is not mentioned on its page, not even that area is called Black Hills. Not much info there except huge number of routes.
To see the Needles go to the Harney peak page and there are several needle pictures. Klenke has one of the Cathedral spires and there are several others.
