Buckwheat
Mount Wilson is visible in the background. There are over 15 different species of buckwheat in Red Rock. I don't know which one this is exactly. Anyways, the colors of their tiny flowers range from white to pink. It is an important browse plant for many animals from squirrels to bighorn sheep.
