Tried to go down east side to Osprey Falls but never found them, so I joined up with the old road and headed back to the car after summiting via the standard route

Bunsen Peak Trail
Rode my bike up from Gardiner, Montana (about 2,000') and then hiked up to the summit. The ride back was nice.

Rainy Day
Not the best weather, but a nice hike- still some snow drifts. I love Yellowstone in the Spring!
5/18/08 - Climbed from the east after first making the hike to Osprey Falls. Tried to stay on the vague trail, but gave up due to numerous snow patches and just bee-lined for the summit. And I thought it was windy up top last year...
9/28/07 - A fairly nice day, other than massive wind gusts. Finally got around to climbing Bunsen, after many years of just driving by.

Nice hike
Nice views for what is an easy hike. Great place to watch the sunset from.

Nice Hike
Nice hike, with a great view of Mammoth Hot Springs and the surrounding area. Be sure to take the loop trail down the mountian and visit Ospery Falls.

Nice hike after a soak in Boiling River
A nice easy hike. It was rather smoky the day I hiked up with my wife, due to some nearby wildfires.

Bunsen Peak Trail
I climbed Bunsen with my sister and her fiance. I think it took only about an hour or so to reach the top. The weather was great, it was breezy at the summit, but it was warm enough so that it was not unpleasant. Spectacular views of the Gallatins and Swan Lake Flat. God, I love Yellowstone.

Short work and great views
Nice views of the Gallatins, got very close to some not-so-wild bighorn sheep

easy climb . . .but variable weather, with fog, hail, and a cold wind in June.
